The non-profit is also the General and Managing Partner of Plainsboro Housing Partners, LP, the Owners of the Wyndhurst at Plainsboro Apartments.

Plainsboro Township on the Rt. One Corridor in the southern potion of Middlesex County. It sits adjacent to South Brunswick, Cranbury, and West Windsor Townships, and shares its school district with the latter. There are four basic areas in which you will find affordable homes in Plainsboro: the Villages at Princeton Crossing; the Tamarron, the Princeton Lakeview Apartments and Wyndhurst at Plainsboro apartments.

The Plainsboro Non-Profit Housng Corp. was established in 1989 for the purpose of acquiring, maintaining and managing sale and rental opportunities for low- and moderate-income households in the Township of Plainsboro.  This 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, currently owns and operates Wyndhurst at Plainsboro, a 126-unit apartment community; administers the affordability controls on another 140 units in the Township; manages programs that provides down payment assistance to purchasers, grants for energy efficient equipment in affordable homes; creates affordable housing through the purchase and re-sale of market homes in the Township; and provides other such services as may be necessary to advance its mission. 

While the day-to-day operation of the PNPHC carried out by the its Executive Director, the Board of the Non-Profit provides the necessary leadership, support, governance and oversight to move its mission forward.  The Directors typically meet quarterly to review the activities of the Non-Profit and provide strategic planning for the mission. 

Rental Opportunities
Wyndhurst

Wyndhurst at Plainsboro is located adjacent to the Town Center Middle School along Dey Road and Wyndhurst Drive in Plainsboro. Owned and operated by the Plainsboro Non-Profit Housing Corporation, Wyndhurst provides 126 low- and moderate- income, one- two- and three- bedroom apartments. There is currently a significant waiting list for Wyndhurst, with many applicants waiting well over one year for an affordable rental home, there. Click here for PDF of Floor Plans! The Princeton Lakeview Apartments are located on the west side of Rt. 1 in Plainsboro, on Mapleton Road, just behind Ruby Tuesdays. The landlord of this privately owned apartment community has made 60 of the 120 units available as low- and moderate- income rental housing. All of the sales units are built, sold and occupied. From time to time, they come available for resale. In the Tamarron, there are 40 one- and two- bedroom, low-income condominiums which become available, from time to time, to qualified buyers. In the Villages at Princeton Crossing, there are 40 one- and two- bedroom, moderate-income condominiums which become available, from time to time, to qualified buyers.

Buyers of affordable housing must provide their own financing. Interested households are encourage to submit a preliminary application. Pre-qualified applicants are placed on our waiting list. When an affordable condominium becomes available, our office sends letters to those who are on our waiting list of pre-qualified applicants for that type and style of home. Qualified buyers of affordable homes in Plainsboro Township are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $3,000 in closing cost assistance.
