Welcome to River House and the Borough of Fair Lawn, in Bergen County, New Jersey, I want to thank you for your interest in our affordable housing program. There are three apartments at River House that will be set aside with reduced rents to income-qualified households: a one-bedroom, very-low income unit; a two-bedroom, low-income unit; and a three-bedroom, moderate-income unit.++

If you are interested in applying to rent an affordable home at River House, you can download an application by clicking on the Preliminary Application; e-mail us at fairlawn@HousingQuest.com; or call us at 609-786-1100, then press 5 to request an application. If you leave a message by email or phone, please be sure to refer to "River House" and spell out your contact information for us.

Within three weeks, you will receive a letter of determination with regard to your preliminary eligibility for the program. A random selection process was previously held, so applications that we receive, now, will be prioritized on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Once an apartment (of the size and type for which you were prequalified) becomes available, you will be notified in priority order. At that time, we will send you the final Application for Affordable Housing, which will require you to document your income and household membership. Minimum and maximum income, credit standards and other requirements will apply.
